Federico’s Note -Biography
Federico was born in Spain in 1957; he spent his early years and adolescence under general Franco’s dictatorship.
When he was a teenager Federico developed a strong interest for engaged arts in this particular social reality. He became an active participant in pacific cultural change and the evolution, an interest he continues to have ever since .

In the seventies Federico participated in provocative and politico social orientated arts performances (happenings ). He was dealing with broad issues such as every day life violence and freedom of speech. As many young creative and artistic orientated people of his generation, he had a strong fascination for surrealism, neo-dada and popular expressionism . As an tireless idealistic like many other people at this time, he contributed in the promotion of the ludic and critical aspects of this form of expression .

In the Eighties he quit Spain in a “voluntary exile to France” as he defines it with a touch of irony “. Federico worked in the promotion of popular creative crafts and expressionism. He also participated in mail arts and other collaborative arts or cultural projects most of them underground or on the margin .

In the nineties he decided to pursue formal education in Australia. After going through what he defines “some conflict of identity”. He completed the associated Diploma Of Fine Arts at Penrith’s T.A.F.E (1992), the Bachelor of Art -Visual Arts, at University Western Sydney (1996), The graduate Diploma of Adult and Community Education ,at the Catholic University of Strafhfield (1999).

Over the past 30 years Federico has been involved in many cultural projects asserting the community’s spirit and the value of creativity for itself ,not for any established price, status, ideological or religious purpose .
